Our mission

Every song deserves a beatmap.

Rhythm-game players all know the feeling: you find a song you love, search for a chart of it, and the one you want isn't there. Maybe nobody mapped the song. Maybe it was mapped for another game mode but not osu! mania, or in a key count you don't play, or only at a difficulty far above or below yours. Human mapping is a craft that takes hours or days per chart, and no community can map every combination of song, mode, key count, difficulty and style that players want.

DanceGAI exists so that the chart you want can exist, even when nobody has made it. We build AI infrastructure that turns music into playable experiences, starting with ManiaGAI, an AI osu! mania beatmap generator: upload a song, or paste an osu! beatmap link to start from that mapset's song, and seconds later you have a complete, playable mapset in the key count and difficulties you chose.

What we believe

Playable, not just plausible

A chart that looks like the music but feels wrong under your fingers is a failure, however impressive the model behind it. We judge our work by whether it plays well: correct timing, sensible patterns, an honest difficulty rating. That is why every chart's star rating is measured with osu!'s own algorithm before you see it, and why charts that fail our checks are dropped rather than shipped.

For the charts that don't exist

A skilled human mapper still makes a better chart than we do, and we say so plainly. If a great chart of what you want already exists, play that. DanceGAI is for the enormous number of cases where the realistic alternative is not having the chart you want at all — a song nobody mapped, or a mapped song with no chart in your mode, key count or difficulty. We are not trying to replace mappers — our models learned from roughly 14,500 of them, and we owe the craft that respect.

Honest about AI

Every chart we generate is labelled as AI-assisted in its metadata, and we ask players never to present one as hand-mapped work. Our own AI-generated charts are excluded from our training data. Our technology page explains how the system works and where its limits are — including a benchmark where an open-source tool beats us on one measure.

Fast enough to play with

A generator you wait minutes for is a batch job, not a tool. A full mapset takes about 20 seconds of GPU time, so you can try a different difficulty or style and hear the difference right away.

The player decides

Key count, difficulties and style are yours to choose. Players differ — a ★2 player and a ★7 player want very different charts of the same song — so the controls are part of the design, not an afterthought.

Free to start

Anyone can create charts with a free account, and every account gets free generations that refill every month. How we intend to keep it sustainable is on our business model page.

Where we're going

osu! mania was the first game mode we supported, not the boundary: in October 2026 osu! standard followed with OsuGAI (beta). The same approach — understand the music, plan the gameplay, generate, validate — is designed to extend to the other osu! modes and, beyond them, to other kinds of rhythm games. The goal is simple to state and hard to do: whatever song you love, in whatever game you play, a chart that is good to play.
