DanceGAI turns a song you upload into an osu!mania chart. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and who else touches it. If anything here is unclear, email founder@dancegai.com.
What we collect
- Your email — when you sign in with Google. We use it to identify your account and to email you when a chart is ready.
- Your osu! account ID and username — if you connect osu! (an optional binding). We read your public osu! profile (username, ID, mania rank, country) once at connect time.
- Audio you upload — the song file, used only to generate your chart. It is transient (see Retention).
- Charts we generate — the .osz files produced for you.
- Anonymous usage events — page views, generation clicks, timing/outcome of jobs, and similar, tied to a random first-party ID (not your name).
- Survey responses — if you choose to rate a chart or fill in the survey.
Why we collect it
- Authentication — so you can sign in and we can keep your account and credits straight.
- Free-credit system — connecting osu! is how we hand out free monthly credits fairly and keep one person from farming unlimited free generations.
- Generating your charts — the audio is processed into a beatmap.
- Improving the product — anonymous analytics and surveys tell us what works and what to build next.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded audio is automatically deleted within 7 days. We don't keep permanent copies of your audio, we don't redistribute it, and we don't claim any ownership of it — it's yours.
- Generated charts are held transiently so you can download them, and are not stored by us long-term. Once you download a .osz, it's yours to keep.
- Your account details, credit history, and anonymous events persist while your account is active so the product works. Email founder@dancegai.com to request deletion.
Who else is involved
We use a small set of trusted services to run DanceGAI. We do not sell your data and we run no ad tracking.
- Google — sign-in (authentication).
- osu! — optional account connection (authentication).
- Modal — GPU processing that turns your audio into a chart.
- Resend — sending you email (sign-in and chart-ready notices).
- Vercel and Neon — hosting and the database.
Analytics
Our analytics are anonymous and first-party only. We do not track you across other websites, and we don't need a cookie-consent banner because we only use first-party, anonymous, necessary data.
