OsuGAI is DanceGAI's osu! AI mapper: an AI osu! beatmap generator for osu! standard. Give it a song and pick the difficulties you want: it places hit circles, sliders and spinners in time with the music and gives you a playable mapset you can drag straight into osu!.
osu! standard: you aim at circles, follow sliders and spin spinners all over the playfield, in time with the music.

What OsuGAI does
In osu! standard every object has a time and a place on the playfield, so a generator has to decide where the cursor goes, not only when you click. OsuGAI listens to the song, plans how hard each part should be, and writes the movement and the clicks for every difficulty — then turns them into circles, sliders and spinners.
You get a normal osu! mapset: one .osu file per difficulty, the song, a background image and a hitsound, packed into a .osz. Open it in osu! stable or lazer to play it, or in the editor to change anything.
How to create an osu! standard beatmap
- Add a song — upload an MP3, OGG or WAV, drop an osu! .osz, or paste an osu! beatmap link.
- Pick the difficulties — star targets from ★1 to ★10. They are picked for you once the song has loaded.
- Fine-tune the style (optional) — sliders, sharp angles, spacing changes and stream spacing, per difficulty.
- Add a background (optional) — an osu! import keeps its own; otherwise choose an image or keep the DanceGAI one.
- Create, preview, download — watch it play in the browser with the song, then download the .osz and drag it into osu!.

What you control
Difficulties
Pick star targets from ★1 to ★10 — as many as the song's length allows in one pass. Each difficulty is named after its measured star rating (Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane, Expert, Extra), and the result shows the real rating of every map.
Style
Four bars per difficulty: sliders (how much of the map is sliders), sharp angles (back-and-forth jumps or straighter, flowing lines), spacing changes (how often the distance between objects changes) and stream spacing (how spread out fast streams are). Each bar spans what real ranked maps at that star rating do and starts at the typical value, so you never have to touch it.
Background
Imported from osu!, the mapset keeps its own background. For an uploaded song you can add a JPG or PNG; without one, the DanceGAI background is used. The image goes into the .osz and the chart points to it, so osu! shows it in game.
Timing
BPM and offset are detected automatically, including songs whose tempo changes — the same timing detection ManiaGAI uses.
What "beta" means
OsuGAI v1 is new. Every map it makes in our tests is a valid, complete osu! standard map, but valid isn't the same as great. Expect these limits:
- Often harder than the target. Measured star ratings tend to land above the ★ you picked — always check the real rating shown in the result.
- Slider shapes can look odd. Some sliders cross over themselves or have strange paths or speeds.
- Simple extras. New combos follow a fixed rule; there are no custom hitsounds, kiai sections or storyboards.
- Limited playtesting. Our checks are automatic; the model hasn't been playtested widely by people yet.
- Unranked by design. AI-generated maps are for playing your own songs and practice, not for the ranked section.
What goes in, what comes out
- In: an MP3, OGG or WAV up to 30 MB and 10 minutes — or an osu! beatmap link or .osz, whose song and background are used.
- Out: a .osz with one .osu (osu! standard) per difficulty, the song, the background and a hitsound, ready for osu! stable or lazer.
- Share: every map gets its own page you can share, and appears in Community for 7 days unless you hide it.
How it works
OsuGAI runs on the same engine as ManiaGAI: a planner decides how hard each part of the song should be, and a note model trained on about 118,000 osu! standard maps writes the button presses and the cursor path. A decoder then turns them into circles, sliders and spinners. The details, the training data and the honest limits are in Building OsuGAI: AI-generated osu! standard beatmaps.
Frequently asked questions
What is OsuGAI?
OsuGAI is DanceGAI's AI beatmap generator for osu! standard. It turns a song into a playable mapset of hit circles, sliders and spinners. It is in beta.
How do I make an osu! standard map from a song?
Add the song at the top of this page (or paste an osu! beatmap link), pick the difficulties, press Create, then download the .osz and drag it onto osu!.
Why do my maps come out harder than the target?
In this beta the model tends to overshoot: a ★6 target usually measures around ★7, and the highest targets can measure several stars higher. Every difficulty is named and shown with its real measured rating, so you always know what you got.
What do the style bars change?
How the map plays at the same difficulty: how many sliders, how sharp the angles between jumps are, how much the spacing varies, and how spread out streams are. They are optional — the default is the typical value for each star rating.
Does it make sliders and spinners?
Yes: hit circles, sliders (including repeat sliders) and spinners. Some slider shapes can still look unusual in this beta.
Can I use my own background image?
Yes. Import from osu! to keep the mapset's own background, or add a JPG or PNG to an uploaded song. Without one, the DanceGAI background is used.
Does the .osz work in osu! lazer and stable?
Yes. It's a standard .osz: drag it onto the osu! window and the whole mapset imports.
Is OsuGAI as good as ManiaGAI?
Not yet. ManiaGAI has been playtested and improved for months; OsuGAI v1 is our first osu! standard model. Its maps are complete and playable, but expect rough edges — see "What beta means" above.
Is it free?
Creating a beatmap needs a free account. One credit makes one whole mapset — the same for OsuGAI and ManiaGAI — and the Free plan refills your credits every month.
Can I submit an OsuGAI map for ranking?
No. AI-generated maps don't belong in the ranked section. Keep them for yourself, share them as WIP or graveyard, and always say they are AI-generated.
